Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Command, Abiodun Alabi, has ordered that the policeman exposed as an informant to armed robbery gang should be fished out and arrested.
The Vanguard newspaper, in its publication on Saturday, March 19, 2022, had written about a victim who revealed the atrocities of the policeman.
In a statement on Monday, March 21, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said that the state police commissioner ordered the immediate identification and arrest of the rogue police officer when the information got to his notice.
“The CP has vowed that any police officer found undermining the tireless efforts of the Command to rid Lagos State of crime and criminality would be appropriately sanctioned,” Hundeyin stated.
He added that CP Alabi had assured Lagos residents that their safety and security would remain paramount to the Command, with no stone being left unturned to ensure that.
