A police officer who was pictured smoking cannabis at Ijora area of Lagos State has been identified by the state command.
His name was given as Babatunde Adebayo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police serving at Shogunle Divison of the Command.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, by the command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, he said that the state police commissioner, Abiodun Alabi, had directed an immediate commencement of appropriate disciplinary measures commensurate with his rank.
CP Alabi, who warned officers and men of the command to steer clear of all unprofessional and unethical conducts, said that any officer found guilty of these acts would be severely sanctioned.
