Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has described the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, as a quintessential leader, patriot and lover of Oyo State’s progress and development.
The governor made the statement on Thursday, July 20, while felicitating the Islamic leader on his birthday.
The governor prayed that God would grant Alhaji Akinola more years in good health so that he could continue to serve Him and touch lives.
Governor Makinde, who hailed Alhaji Akinola, popularly known as DeDamak, for being such an exemplary leader, who desires and works hard for the progress and prosperity of the state and Nigeria, congratulated him on the huge impact he has made on humanity through Islam and philanthropy.
The governor said: “On behalf of the Government and good People of Oyo State, I celebrate His Eminence, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, as he adds another year.
“In Aare Musulumi, I found a quintessential leader, patriot and lover of Oyo State’s progress and development. He has been a worthy partner in progress in our vision to uplift the state.
“Your Eminence, as you add another year; it is my prayer that Allah SWT grants you more years with good health, so you can continue to serve Him and make a greater impact on society.
