The chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, has commended the governor of Edo state , Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the successful restoration of Edo Broadcasting Service terrestrial on UHF channel 45 and the reopening of the Ihievbe broadcast station.
In a congratulatory statement personally signed by him, the NUJ chairman said that the successful restoration marks a significant return to the airwaves after a decade of absence, reestablishing a vital connection with the people of Edo North and Nigeria as a whole.
“This milestone is a testament to Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to revitalizing the media industry in Edo State.
“The governor ‘s leadership and vision have made a significant impact, and we are grateful for his efforts,” Dr. Alenkhe stated.
He added: “I also commend the Managing Director, Edo Broadcasting Service, Sulaiman Aledeh, for his dedication to ensuring the transformation and success of EBS. His hard work and expertise have been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
“We appreciate Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to the growth and development of the media industry in Edo State, as evident in his decision to absorb the new EBS staff.
