The Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, HRM Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has lauded the nomination of the former first lady of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, as Nigerian ambassador, saying that it is a testament of her unwavering service to the nation.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, November 30, Oba Alao noted that Mrs Ajimobi had always demonstrated strength in service, and commitment to excellence.
The monarch pointed out the way Mrs Ajimobi served Oyo State along with her late husband Senator Abiola Ajimobi, with honour, uplifting lives, saying that it has reflected in the nominee’s commitment to a better Nigeria.
The statement read in part: “On behalf of my family, the Olugbon-In-Council and the entire Surulere Local Government, I congratulate Yeye Oba of Orile-Igbon, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Florence Ajimobi, on her nomination as an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Her nomination by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a testament of her unwavering service to the nation. Chief Mrs Ajimobi has always demonstrated strength in service, and commitment to excellence.
“Her commitment to a better Nigeria is strong, as evident in how she distinguished herself while serving Oyo State along with her late husband Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
“This was the reason I conferred on her the chieftaincy title of Yeye Oba of Orile-Igbon.
“Chief Mrs Ajimobi is a distinguished Nigerian with steeling leadership qualities.
“I congratulate her on this nomination, and I am confident that she will scale through, and serve Nigeria with honour.”
