An attempt by hoodlums parading themselves as EndSARS protesters to attack and burn police station in Okeho community, Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, has been foiled by hunters in the area.
The miscreants were said to have been at the station at about 10:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 25, but were stopped by the hunters from hatching their plans.
The hunters were said to have been hinted of the planned attack, hence their readiness to prevent the hoodlums from setting the station ablaze.
The hoodlums were reportedly armed with broken bottles and other dangerous objects.
Some residents, who craved anonymity, disclosed that the hoodlums would have had a field day perpetrating the criminal act, but for the quick intervention of the local hunters.
Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, had warned those behind the attacks on police and the stations that they would be made to feel the full weight of the law on them.
