The Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has received award and commendation for the Nigeria Police Force as the Most Improved Service Delivery Parastatal (SERVICOM Unit) in Nigeria for the year 2024.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this known in a statement.
The award was presented to the IGP on Tuesday , January 14, 2025, by the National Coordinator/CEO, SERVICOM Presidency, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, assisted by other SERVICOM staff from the presidency.
In her address, Mrs. Akajemeli made it known that the strides the NPF took in recent times to ensure proper service delivery were remarkable as regards the service charter and workplan on customer service in the year 2024.
She said that the award was given on merit, reaffirming that the Force has improved in service delivery in many areas, including the creation of a customer service workplan to touch lives of Nigerians.
The IGP, in his remarks, appreciated SERVICOM under the presidency, for the recognition of the Nigeria Police Force, making it known that the achievement has underscored the testament of the dedication and commitment of officers and men who are working tirelessly to improve service delivery of the Nigeria Police Force.
He further reiterated the commitment of the Force to improved service delivery and ensuring that it delivers its duty to the public with utmost sense of professionalism.
IGP Egbetokun added that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to continuing the positive momentum, working closely with the public to create a safer and more secure environment for all Nigerians.
The Inspector-General of Police urged all citizens to continue supporting the Force’s efforts by remaining vigilant and reporting all suspicious activities that could pose a threat to national security.
