Operatives of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS)have arrested two suspected traffic robbers on Ikorodu Road, Lagos State.
Thenewsbearer learnt that the suspects, whose names were given as Tunde Ramoni (21) and Adepoju Samuel (34), were apprehended by the decoy team of the RRS while on security patrol.
Ramoni, an indigene of Ibadan in Oyo State, was picked up at Ojota while Samuel, from Ogbomoso town in the same state, was caught while robbing a rider with unregistered motorcycle at Tipper area, Ketu.
Intelligence gathered by the RRS that one of the suspect, Ramoni, had once been arrested with some pickpocket gang members in 2019 and was convicted to six months imprisonment after he was found guilty by the court.
The Commander, RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu had directed that the suspects be charged to court immediately.
