A 14-year-old girl (name withheld) has poured out to policemen in Ogun State Command, on how the continuous carnal knowledge her 49-year-old father, Amosa Bola, was having of her has resulted in pregnancy.
Not only that, she exposed how her father also used bring men to their residence to have sex with her, for which they paid him money in exchange for the services.
This led to the father’s arrest by detectives in state police command on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo, was picked up after the pregnant daughter made a report at Ode Remo divisional headquarters on her father’s acts.
She told the police that her father, with whom she had been living with for some years, had been having carnal knowledge of her and also turned her into a prostitute by inviting men to their house to have sex with her, after which he would collect money from them for the ‘service’.
SP Oyeyemi said: “Upon the report, the DPO Ode Remo division, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon, detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.
“On interrogation, the suspect, who first denied the allegations, later confessed when the victim confronted him.
The PPRO added that the father’s confession led to the arrest of five others who had slept with the victim at different times on his invitation.
The five suspects were identified as Ahmed Ogunkoya (30), Muyiwa Adeoye (48), David Sunday Solaja (69), Emmanuel Olusanya (50) and Joshua Olaniran (50).
“All the suspects have confessed to having carnal knowledge of the 14-year-old girl and paying money to the father (for the service),” he added.
Thenewsbearer learnt that the victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back and had been living with him was practically turned to a prostitute.
Oyeyemi said that she had been taken to State Hospital, Isara Remo, where it was confirmed that she was pregnant.
The teenager was said to have kept insisting that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy, as he was the only one who slept with her within the period she got pregnant.
The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
