Artifacts suspected to have been stolen by on-the-run armed robbers were recovered at one of Nigeria’s border posts, Thenewsbearer has gathered.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Ekiti State, and
Chairman, Forum for Commissioners of Arts, Culture, Tourism, Heritage and Creative Economy in Nigeria, Prof. Rasaki Ojo Bakare, preliminary security investigations pointed at Ekiti speaking areas of Ekiti and Kwara states as likely origin of the artifacts.
“We are searching for actual owners with convincing proofs of ownership.
“Members of the public are hereby requested to assist,” the statement read, with mobile phone number 07045686996 given as contact to be reached in case of any available information.
