In a renewed commitment by Adamawa State Police Command to enhance proactive strategies, the network of criminals operating at Koma Hill, connecting part of Kojoli and Karlahi Districts of Jada and Fufore local government Areas, was disconnected with the neutralisation of three suspected kidnappers.
Two kidnap victims were also rescued by the police operatives, while pump action rifle, single barrel gun, locally-fabricated revolver pistol, handsets, chains, charms, among other items, were recovered.

Thenewsbearer learnt that the operation was carried out by the operatives attached to Crack Squad and Hunters of Tabbital Pulaku Association after the strategies put in place by the command to checkmate offences bordering on kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, unlawful and possession of firearms, among others.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who spoke on the incident that led to the operation, said that suspected kidnappers stormed a cattle ranch of Alhaji Jibo Karlahi on Wednesday, January 24, and abducted Umar Jibo, aged 18, and 13-year-old Idi Hassan.
“The command mobilised the rescue team and went after the kidnappers, Upon sighting our men, the criminals engaged them in a gun duel.
“As a result, three of them were neutralised, while others escaped with bullet wounds. Interestingly, the two victims were rescued unharmed,” the PPRO said.
Commending the Crack Squad team, led by the Commander, as well as Tabbital Pulaku Hunters, for disconnecting the crime network and the gallantry performance displayed, the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, directed them to sustain the tempo as a strategy for checkmating crimes in the state.
CP Babatola also called on the populace to always give timely information to the police, especially the whereabouts of criminals and their hideouts.
The police boss equally assured the government and good people of Adamawa State of sustained effort to dislodge all criminal hideouts and blackspots in the state.
