Two suspected members of the dreaded Neo-Black Movement, a cult group also known as Black Axe/Aiye Confraternity cult group were apprehended in Abeokuta metropolis by operatives in Ogun State Police Command in the early hours of Sunday, April 24, 2022, after a rivalry clash left a member of the Eiye Conftraternity dead.
The two suspects, identified as Habeeb Muideen a.k.a Oko 8 and Ibrahim a.k.a Ayin, were arrested at different locations during a battle for supremacy with Eiye cult group.

Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that prior to the arrest, SWAT operatives received a distress call that the Black Axe cult group members were in rival clash with another cult group at Elega/Iberekodo axis of the capital city.
The call, he said, made the commander of SWAT, CSP Kalejaye Olanrewaju to quickly lead his men to the scene.
“On sighting the policemen, the cultists ran in different directions, but were hotly chased, leading to the arrest of Habeeb Muideen at Iberekodo, while Ibrahim was apprehended at Ajitadun area of the metropolis.
“The two suspects are currently undergoing interrogation at SWAT office to determine their roles in the clash which left a member of the Eiye cult group dead,” the PPRO stated.
Recovered from the suspects were battle axes and assorted charms.
In about a month , not less than 37 members of various cult groups had been arrested, as the command started clamping down on them across the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered a manhunt for the fleeing members of the groups.
