A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, is dead.
Thenewsbearer learnt that the renown politician, aged 66, who had been ill for a while, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in a brief illness.
Before her death, Chief Nelson was the Yeye Sewa of Lagos and a had a strong alliance with the APC presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
APC spokesman in Lagos, Mr. Seye Oladejo, who confirmed the death, described it as, “tragic and very sad.”
Also, Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor, in a tweet, announced the death.
According to Akosile in the tweet, “we lost a dear soul to the cold hands of death earlier today.
“May the soul of the late Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, former Southwest Women Leader of the @OfficialAPCNg Rest In Peace and may God grant her immediate family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear this loss.”
