The ClipTV Online has issued a formal apology to Mrs. Aderemi Olaleye regarding the publications made about her on its platform.
In a statement, the Publisher, ClipTV Online, Abraham Adaranijo, wrote: “We, at ClipTV Online, hereby issue a formal apology to Mrs. Aderemi Olaleye regarding the publications made about her on our platform, which were also disseminated through our WhatsApp, channels and other social media platforms.
“These reports were published based on the information available to us at the time. However, following a thorough review and after receiving further clarification from Mrs. Olaleye, it has become evident that the information previously reported does not accurately reflect the true state of affairs.
“As a media organization dedicated to ethical journalism, objectivity, and accuracy, we acknowledge our responsibility to uphold the highest standards of truth and fairness in our reporting.
“We deeply regret any distress, embarrassment, or inconvenience our publications may have caused Mrs. Olaleye, her family, associates, or the public at large.
“We emphasize that it was never our intention to misrepresent facts, cause harm, or malign the reputation of Mrs. Aderemi Olaleye. We take full responsibility for any unintended consequences that may have arisen from the dissemination of the initial misrepresented reports from Newsconnect publisher.
“In light of these new facts, ClipTV Online hereby formally retracts any previous statements, articles, or reports concerning Mrs. Aderemi Olaleye that may have been misleading or inaccurately represented.
“As part of our commitment to responsible journalism, we will take additional steps to strengthen our editorial processes to ensure that all reports published on our platform are thoroughly verified before dissemination.
“Once again, we offer our sincerest apologies to Mrs. Aderemi Olaleye and reaffirm our dedication to truthful, professional, and ethical journalism.”
