Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has visited the family of the slain Miss Iniubong Ephraim Umoren at her Obio Ndot residence in Oruk Anam Local Government Area, to commiserate with them following her alleged abduction, rape and murder by one Uduak Frank Akpan, who has already been arrested by the police custody.
Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem, the Governor condemned the murder in cold blood of the 26-year-old lady and assured the family that justice would be served in the matter.
In the entourage were Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong ; Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idiongesit Etiebet; Commissioner for Women Affairs And Social Welfare , Dr Ini Adiakpan; Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ekerete Udoh; among others.
Umoren had gone in search of a job when the suspect and his accomplices raped and killed her.
