The Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, has decorated the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Olabisi Okuwobi, with her new rank as an Assistant Commissioner of Police.
ACP Okuwobi was decorated on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the IGP’s office at Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Other officers decorated included Okuwobi’s course mate, ACP Eguakun Uwa; IGP’s Principal Staff Officer 3, CSP Bukola Kuti; CSP Soji Obideyi; CSP Abubakar Danladi; SP Femi Adebayo and DSP Paul Unah.
At the event, the IGP admonished the officers to discharge their new duties with the application of their vast knowledge of policing, as their promotion demands higher responsibilities.
The IGP said that more commitment with their higher ranks would help in ensuring a safer country for all citizenry, which Nigeria Police Force keeps working towards in accordance with the rule of law.
ACP Okuwobi was the former Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo, Delta, Benue State Police Commands. She was also the Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Police Cooperative and Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF).
She was the Public Information Officer to United Nations Police (UNPOL) in UN Missions In Liberia (UNMIL).
She is currently the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).
