Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, on Monday, May 31, 2021, played host to participants of Study Group 7 of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 43, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, Plateau State, in his Ikeja office.
The delegation, which was led by the NIPSS librarian and leader of the delegation, Dr Emmanuel Mamman, was on study tour to the State as part of research works which would be compiled and forwarded to the presidency for policy formulation, as a routine of the institute.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who spoke on the visit, said that Odumosu gave a brief on the command’s strategic plans to police the state, with a view to improving the general security and public safety.
He further promised to set in motion the machineries capable of boosting the synergy between the command and the apex policy formulation institute in the country.
The leader of the delegation, Dr Mamman, expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for his time and paper presentation to the course participants.
Mamman also asked a directing staff of the institute and member of the delegation, Rear Admiral Adesope, to coordinate the question and answer session, during which the course participants were privileged to have clarifications on issues related to the security of the state.
Other members of the delegation were Navy Capt. Abdulrahim Tunde Mustapha, Mr Oyeneye Oyejola, the group chairman, Hammawa Mohammed Gambo, Mr Jonathan Kure, Dr Ibrahim Abubakar and others .
