More facts have emerged on the reason the outgoing Governor of Anambra State, Willy Obiano, and his wife abruptly left the venue of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Governor of the state, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
It was gathered that Obiano’s wife, Ebelechukwu, was allegedly slapped by Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu at the event.
The reason for the clash was not ascertained as of the time of filing this report but it was reported that Ebelechukwu had gone to where Bianca sat during the ceremony to ask her why she was there since she had said she no longer had anything to do with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state.

It was further gathered that Mrs Obiano arrived the venue without her husband through a smaller gate.
A source who was privy to the incident said instead of going to sit close to her husband, she went and sat close to Senator Uche Ekwunife and the others.
The source said: “Moments after that, she got up and went to Bianca and started deriding her by saying amongst others that ‘I think you did not want us to be governor but we have completed our eight years, you bitch.”
“It was at this point that Bianca gave her the ‘farewell slap.’ Thereafter security personnels came and separated them.”
