Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi as his Chief of Staff.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was confirmed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, it was reported that Ogunwuyi was named Executive Assistant to the Governor on Investmentin 2019.
He was later appointed Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public, Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPPPA), following the passage of the law setting up the agency.
As the DG of OYSIPPA, Ogunwuyi midwifed series of Investment initiatives including the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA), which has helped the state in the execution of critical infrastructure projects.
A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogunwuyi, Ogunwuyi was elected as the member representing Ogbomoso North/South and Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2015.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting and has Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
A certified Accountant and Financial consultant, Ogunwuyi had consulted for top organisations.
