The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), has been installed the Grand patron of the PSC Sports Club.

The ceremony, held at the Chairman’s office in Jabi, Abuja, was conducted by the President of the Club, Mike Aji, assisted by the members of his executive.

DIG Argungu was represented at the flag off ceremony by the PSC spokesman, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, who was one time Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter, and later Deputy National Chairman of the Association.

Briefing the Chairman on the success story of the team, Aji presented medals won at the last games to him and requested for Commission’s support to  motivate the team for greater achievement in this year’s games holding in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Flagging off the training programme for the PSC team on Thursday, October 24, DIG Argungu pledged to lift their spirits so that they would storm the games with greater determination to excel.

He charged them to go and conquer, stressing that the PSC would stand solidly with them and provide the necessary assistance required.
