Following the suspension of eight-month strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) the University of Ibadan (UI) has announced the resumption of academic activities on Monday, October24, 2022 for the continuation of the 2021/2022 session.
This was said to have been approved by Senate of the university at a special meeting held on Monday, October 17, 2022.
The Registrar and Secretary to Council, Olubunmi Faluyi, in a statement on Wednesday, October 19, said that halls of residence would be opened from Sunday, October 23.
She stated: “On behalf of Council and Senate of the University, we wish our students journey mercies as they return to the campus.”
