The University of Ibadan (UI) and telecommunications giant, MTN, are to become partners in the university’s efforts to strengthen its Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
To this end, a committee has been set up to identify areas of partnerships to strengthen the University’s ICT without jeopardising the structures already on ground.
The Committee has four weeks to submit its reports and recommendations.
According to the Principal Assistant Registrar/Public Relations Officer,
Directorate of Public Communication, Joke Akinpelu, in a statement on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, this was the outcome of a meeting held between the management of the university and top officers of MTN.

The expected partnership, it was said, would improve mobility, data usage and digital operations on campus.

The MTN team included Idowu Loye, Osaretin Ogieraikhi, Phillip Sado, Olalekan Omotosho, Joseph Owoeye and Opeyemi Tokode.
