The management of the University of Ibadan has expressed dismay at an online advert announcing the sale of the property, assets and land of the University of Ibadan, saying that nothing of such emanated from the institution.
In a statement by the the premier university’s Principal Assistant Registrar/Public Relations Officer, Joke Akinpelu, members of the public, especially the international community, were advised not to allow themselves to be swindled.
“The University of Ibadan, its assets, and landed property are not up for sale,” the statement read.
It was said that the Department of State Services (DSS) had been notified and requested to bring the supposed agents to book.
