Policemen at Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area in Anambra State arrested an insurgent in the early hours of Tuesday, March 12, 2024, while on patrol with vigilante men in Awka Etiti.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the suspect’s arrest, said that the insurgents were engaged by the police while they were operating with a Toyota Highlander.
The FPRO stated that the police recovered four AK-47 rifles and 219 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition from them.
