•Assures town, environs of safety, deploys teams to prevent law breakdown
In the wake of the gruesome murder of five farmers in the early hours of Friday, August 20, 2021, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Olawale Olokode had assured the residents of Alape community, via Modakeke town, of adequate security coverage.
Olokode had personally led the Police Response Team and Tactical Unit of the Command to the scene of the incident n order to restore normalcy.
Disclosing this in a statement, the command’s police spokeswoman, SP Yemisi Opalola said that the police commissioner appealed to the residents of the area to remain calm, as the command was resolute in getting to the roots of the dastardly act, with the intention of bringing the perpetrator(s) to book.
He also urged the residents of the area to avail the command of credible information that would fast-track the arrest of the perpetrator(s).
