The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has been declared hale and hearty, following his reported unwellness in Abuja on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
The EFCC boss was said to have at the third National Identity Day celebration at the Banquet Hall Villa.
Reports had it that Bawa was delivering a goodwill message when he suddenly stopped, staggered back to his seat, and slumped.
He was said to have been held by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, and other dignitaries, and was guided out of the hall after he was allowed to rest a little.
He was also said to have been given medical assistance, though no one knew what he suffered from which brought about the unwellness.
In a statement by the EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, it was said that the clarification became necessary following the incident at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where Bawa was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” Uwujaren simply said.
