In furtherance of the objectives of the Nigeria-German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in the area of training and technical support to the Nigeria Police Force, Head of Component, GIZ Nigeria, Mr Gertjan de Gruijter on September 2, 2021, paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
In the entourage of the Head of Component were advisors – Mr Idris Bawa, Mrs Kate Kpina and Israel Habila.
This was made known in a statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
The visit, according to the Head of Component, was to further examine possible areas of support to the Lagos State Police Command so as to enhance capacity building in investigation and prosecution as well as technical supports.
Represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Lagos State Police Command, DCP Ahmed Kontagora, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation to the GIZ African Component for the laudable initiative.
Promising that the Lagos Police Command would leverage on such support, Odumosu requested that the support should be sustained and extended to cover operational training in future.
