A Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr Oyedokun Oyedele has died of complications arising from COVID-19.
Thenewsbearer learnt that Dr Oyedele died at about 5a.m., on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Lagos State, issued a statement on Thursday to mourn the passage of the medical doctor, though it didn’t touch on the cause of death.
The NMA said: “With heavy heart, the Nigerian Medical Association, Lagos State, announces the death of one of our members, Dr Oyedokun Oyedele.
“Until his death, he was a Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, LASUTH/LASUCOM.
“We sympathize with his immediate family, associates, colleagues, staff of LASUTH and the entire hippocratic family.
“May Almighty God grant his family the fortitude to bear the sad loss(Amen).
“Sleep well our dear colleague, Dr Oyedokun Oyedele.
“May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
