Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akin Alamu, as a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.
The governor also appointed Elijah Kolawole Akanmu as Special Adviser on Housing and a Board Member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was appointed Special Adviser on Rural Development.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, and signed on September 25, 2026, the governor also approved the appointment of Yinka Oladoyinbo as Executive Assistant on Information and Orientation, alongside Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa and Dapo Falade as Senior Special Assistants on Information and Orientation.
The statement added that other appointments include Hon. Seun Adelore as Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters; Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, as Executive Assistant, Sports Commission; Ogundele Quadri as Special Assistant on Urban Development; Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, as Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism; and Ibrahim Abayomi as Executive Assistant, Works.
Olanrewaju stated that Governor Makinde charged all the newly appointed officials to carry out their duties with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.
He added that the appointments take immediate effect.
