The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested one Adedotun Kabiru, popularly called K.B., a suspected member of a cult group known as Eiye Confraternity, with a cut-to-size pistol recovered from him.
The Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, made this known on Sunday, January 21, in a statement issued on behalf of the state Commander of the Corps, Dr Soji Ganzallo.
The Commander said that while on routine patrol, the tactical squad of the Corps got information which made the team to go after the suspected cultist, Kabiru, who was said to have been terrorising Ogun communities.
Ganzallo stated further that the suspect was promptly arrested while a cut-to-size pistol was recovered from in his room at Totoro, Abeokuta, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to have been involved in a number of criminal activities in the state.
He was also said to have mentioned the names of some members of his gang.
Ganzallo further explained that the suspect and the exhibit recovered from him had been transferred to the Monitoring Unit of Ogun State Police Command, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for onward transfer to state police headquarters, Eleweran, for further investigation and likely prosecution.
