A 37-year-old man, Ashade Kamoru, has been arrested by the personnel of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps,for the theft of sliding windows of a building at Iyana Ifako, Alagbon.
The State Commander of So-Safe, (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, who confirmed this in a statement through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, disclosed that the suspect was apprehended on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at about 5:45am, by the Owode-Yewa Division’s operation team, led by Fatimoh Idris, a Superintendent of Corps.
Ganzallo said that the suspect, a resident of Wawe House, Elekure Street, Alagbon, Owode in Yewa South Local Government Area, was caught in the act of burgling a deserted building on Ifako Road.
He had reportedly stolen six sliding aluminum windows, three of which were recovered on the spot.
The suspect was said to have confessed to the crime during preliminary investigation, and had led the Corps officers to a place where he hid the remaining three sliding windows, with the intention to steal more later.
The Commander stated further that the suspect and the recovered exhibits had been transferred to the Owode Egbado (Yewa) Division of Ogun State Police Command for further investigation.
