Commissioner of Police in Delta State Command, Ari Muhammed Ali, has assured state residents of a hitch-free Easter celebration, as he ordered massive deployment of personnel across the state to provide adequate security before, during, and after easter celebration.
The deployment, the police commissioner said, is to ensure protection of all residents in the state and the success of all activities lined up to mark the celebration.
Making this known on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said that the CP had directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to deploy men to all venues of the celebrations and other event centres to prevent hoodlums from causing any form of mayhem to law abiding citizens.
In addition to the personnel deployed from Area Commands and police divisions, additional deployments had been drawn from Dragon Patrol, Safer Highway, and other squads such as Quick Response, Rapid Response, Eagle-net, Crack, Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime.
Urging members of the public to be law-abiding, with continued support to the police in the fight against crime and criminality, Ali assured them of the Command’s commitment in provision of security, maintenance of law and order, protection of life and property among other duties in the state.
Speaking on behalf of officers and men of the Command, the state police boss wished Delta indigenes, residents and Nigerians in general a hitch-free Easter celebration.
