Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu has been commended by the new Air Force Commander, Air Commodore AK Ademuwagun, for his openness, commitment to duty and sterling leadership qualities he exhibits, in sustaining the existing synergy between the police and other security services in Lagos State.
Ademuwagun gave the commendation when Odumosu played host to the new Commander of Nigerian Air Force, 651 Base Services Group, Ikeja, during a courtesy visit and familiarisation tour of the police command headquarters on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
In his remarks while receiving the Air Force Commander, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation for the hand of fellowship extended, and the zeal to collaborate with the police in combating crimes in the state, according to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The PPRO said that Odumosu promised to set machineries in motion to boost cordial relationship among the members of the rank and file of the police and other security services in Lagos State.
In another development, the Commissioner of Police addressed traffic officers in all the area commands and police stations, across the state, to review and restrategise on the templates adopted to manage traffic.
Odumosu emphasised on the need to sustain the deployment of traffic personnel at the peak of traffic in the state, as he said that regular presence and control would ease the traffic problems.
The state police boss further charged the traffic officers to deploy their motorcycle monitors to be on surveillance at strategic places, in order to keep traffic robbers at bay.
“The Commissioner of Police therefore directed the Area Commanders and DPOs and Officer in charge of the Command’s Motor and Traffic Division, CSP Oriyomi Oluwasanmi, to adequately supervise the activities and operations of the traffic personnel in their areas of responsibility so as to be alive to their duties; and shun extortion and corruption in any form as such professional misconducts will not be condoned,” Adejobi stated.
